Water-water-everywhere-check-out-the-Poconos-great-water-parksThere is something about waterparks in the summer that is just hard to beat. What’s not to like about splashing and slipping and sliding and acting like a kid—whether you’re 6 or 66? And no matter how hot or muggy it gets in August, time at the water park makes everything feel better.

When it comes to water parks in the Poconos, you’re in luck because you have some great choices.  Here’s a quick look at some of the biggest and best in the region.

Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark

Whether you like adrenaline-filled waterslides or just lounging pool side on a hot summer day, you’ll find thrills from mild to wild at Camelbreach—the biggest water park in PA! With over 37 rides, slides and attractions, dousing buckets, spraying water, hundreds of palm trees, cobblestone walkways, water rides, and beach sand. Camelbeach instantly transports you to a water park oasis, where kids can be kids and adults can too. Come experience Camelbeach for the day or for a weekend getaway, and you’ll quickly see that this is no ordinary water park. The park is located at 309 Resort Drive in Tannersville, Pa 18372. Split Rock Resort

With nearly 54,000 square feet of water play opportunities, families are flocking to Pennsylvania to spend time at the Split Rock Resort in Lake Harmony. This indoor family waterpark is ready for overnight and day visitors alike, thanks to its five body, tube and raft slides; wave pool; and the state's first indoor flow rider, the Komodo Dragon. If leisurely indoor water creation is more your style, not to worry—the Lava Springs hot tubs await you.

Great Wolf Lodge

From the spray features in the toddler area that make the little ones giggle to white-knuckle extreme tube rides, this water park was designed with everyone in mind. But the resort fun doesn't end with rides and slides—there are games galore and unique activities outside the water park including Scooops® Kid Spa, MagiQuest® live-action adventure game and Northern Lights Arcade. There’s fun for everyone here. And you can even try something new, such as Slideboarding! You’ll have to see it to believe it! Click here for more information about Great Wolf Lodge

Aquatopia

A private waterpark awaits guests at Camelback Resort. Aquatopia's water temperature stays at a comfortable 84 degrees, which makes it a great family destination year round. Between seven pools, 13 slides and the world's longest indoor watercoaster, it's easy to see why Aquatopia is a must-see attraction. Five "age appropriate" zones make indoor water play a safe option for families of all sizes and ages, while the Bombora FlowRider gives older family members a chance to test their surfing and boogie boarding skills. A comprehensive map of Aquatopia can be found here.

Kalahari Resorts and Conventions

Located at 250 Kalahari Blvd, in Pocono Manor, PA 18349, this waterpark is the latest and greatest of Kalahari's family of authentically African themed water park resorts and convention.
Experience the 100,000 sq. ft. Indoor Waterpark featuring a retractable roof, stand-up surfing or body boarding on the FlowRider, the twists and turns of the Anaconda and Swahili Swirl waterslides, relaxing lazy river and indoor/outdoor family hot tub, tons of activities for the little ones and much, much more!

The Poconos Mountains are a great place to get away. And now, if you want to get away to something even wetter and wilder—you’ve got great choices! There’s water, water, everywhere—and the last one in is a rotten egg!
