How-to-determine-which-room-in-your-new-Poconos-home-is-the-most-importantA lot of time and effort goes into thinking and planning before you even begin building your new home in the Poconos. A lot of that time will be spent thinking about how you want your home to look and feel. And while the exterior of your home may be the “face” of your home—it’s what’s inside that really matters.

Which room is the most important room in your new home? That answer depends on your lifestyle. How do you plan to use the space?

You hear all the time that the kitchen is the heart of the home. That’s because in today’s homes, the kitchen is so central for much of a family’s social activity. It’s no longer a room tucked away from guests where food prep is done. It’s the hub of the home. Family and friends gather there. They eat there. And even if meals are being prepared there, it’s no longer cut off from the rest of the home.

For some people, the family room is where the majority of the action happens—maybe around the fireplace. Many of today’s floor plans incorporate open architecture and great room concepts that allows easy access to multiple rooms at once—kitchen, family room, and the dining area.

Of course, not every room in your home is “open to the public.” You’ll want private spaces such as a master bedroom (perhaps with a spa-like master bath) where you can retreat and relax.

So which room is the most important? They’re all important. And what’s also important is how they work together to create an atmosphere where you and your guests feel comfortable and at home.

That’s why it’s so important to take the time you need to think through which floor plan makes the most sense for the way you live. Take a look at just some of the floor plans available for your new home in the Poconos. And as you look at them, think about how it would feel to move from one room to another. Every room is important, but how they all work together to create the atmosphere your want is a big part of what makes a house a home!
